Newsflash

BUCKEYES 45 - MARSHALL 7...AND THEY'RE OFF!

Our beloved Buckeyes had 14 points before we got our 1st Iced Tea...but the food came, the Buckeyes played, and the season has begun!  The Bucks are 1-0 with a 45-7 drubbing of "We Are Marshall".  We showed some weaknesses in special teams, but the defense lived up to its reputation, not allowing a point.  Next week---the Miami Ducks...so join us at Fuddruckers for the game and let's root our OSU team on to a Championship!

The Nutshell is the official e-newsletter for Ohio State alumni club and society officers and board members. The current issue is available at http://www.ohiostatealumni.org/resources/clubs-societies/Pages/TheNutshell.aspx.   Check it out!! Articles on important dates, awards, and reunions!  Go Bucks!!

See how OSU has "Connected" to the world with a story about what Coach Tressel and QB Terrell Pryor think about 2010 Buckeye football.

Congrats to Amanda Kraguljac for winning the OSU Pennant signed by #45 for being one of 40 early dues payers.  Thanks to all who have made this club a solid organization again for the 2010-2011.  We are a great Club and getting better!!

Breaking News...Alamo Club Selected as 2010 "GOLD STAR" Alumni Club!!  Randy Larson Selected as 2010 Club All Star!!

On Saturday, Oct 23rd, after the Purdue (11am-2pm) gamewatch, I ask you to join me as an OSU Alamo Alumni Team in a short 1.5 Walk downtown to support the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society during their Light the Night Cure for Cancer fundraising event.  More details to follow, but if we can bring a gamewatch number of people for the walk, all wearing their Scarlet and Grey, just think of the impact to the community.  Or how many Buckeyes will know of our existence and join us!  Would be a great night for a great cause, battling cancer.  More info to follow-but save the date, 23 Oct at 5PM starting at Hemisfair Park.

Fellow Buckeyes,
Because of your continued outstanding support of our building Ohio State Alumni Association Alamo Club of San Antonio, Archie Griffin...#45 himself... wanted to come down here to see what all the Scarlet and Grey fuss is about!  Yes, Archie realized that he has Outstanding OSUAA Clubs just an 1 1/2 hours apart down here andin Austin, and he wants to visit with us.

So, your Club officers and I wish to invite you to join Archie Griffin and us for a good ole' fashioned Western BBQ and some hootin' and hollerin' at Pedrotti's North Wind Ranch.

But to have the best possible event, numbers in attendance count!  This is for Alumni, their families and friends, Buckeye Fans in general and those who are proud to call themselves Ohioans or Bucks!  So, please RSVP at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
