Well Finals Week and Winter Quarter as a whole were pretty rough; my four hard classes and the cold weather really gave me a run for my money. However, I was able to finish out the quarter strong and keep a 3.8 GPA.
And Now!!! Begins the glorious Spring Quarter! The Quarter that students speak of with reverence all year long! So far it has been absolutely everything everyone has told me: the sun is always out, people are all laying out on the Oval at all times, volleyball, soccer, football, and baseball are now common occurrences anywhere with a few feet of grass to spare. The weather is absolutely perfect and everyone at OSU is LOVING IT!! It seems like there are even more people on campus Spring Quarter, like perhaps during winter quarter people didn’t leave their dorm or classrooms at all. But Spring? Everyone is outside where it is glorious, catching up on their reading or playing sports or just getting a nice tan.
This quarter I only technically have one class for these first five weeks of the quarter, because I am a part of an Internship with the Canadian Parliament this Spring for the last five weeks of the quarter. Therefore, my Spring Quarter will be even more relaxed and laid-back than it would have been otherwise.
Also I’m very excited because I am going to Philadelphia with the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity tomorrow to look at law schools such as University of Pennsylvania and Drexel, along with a few others. On top of that the Politics, Society and Law Scholars groups is going on a trip to Washington D.C very soon, which is terribly exciting!
As well, I am soon starting a research assistantship position with my Archaeology teacher from last Quarter!
AND! I was just voted in as next year’s Vice President for Mock Trial at OSU!!
I still can’t get over how many opportunities OSU and all its affiliated organizations can offer! It’s really spectacular how much you can do if you just take the time to reach out to organizations that interest you.
I’ll give y’all another update right after Philly to tell you how it went!
